La vida en la playa- The beach life

As I prepare to launch Less is More, I am thankful for risks I have taken and decisions that have left others wondering why.

I worked for a school district for 12 years. Each day I went to work with the mindset that I was there to make things better for kids. That was my job. Upper administration believed the kids came to school each day to generate their income. The more and the louder I disagreed, the more they launched character attacks against me. If you don’t drink the koolaid and weren’t a high school buddy of one of the boys’ club, then you were a menace and targeted. What they failed to understand was that they would not break me.

Fate stepped in during COVID and allowed me opportunity. The older I get, the more I am working in quieting my mind so I can hear those knocks at the door.

I left the toxic district and closed out my career in a fabulous place that shared my ideals about how to make things better for kids. Eternally thankful for those people.

I sold my home in the toxic district town for double what I had paid. Part of the proceeds bought me this condo in Ecuador, where I write this entry.

While they celebrated their “victory” in running off this rabble rouser, they didn’t realize they had given me an opportunity to forever change and enhance my life and the lives of my children.

They lost. I won. And this place teaches me so much about how less is more.

This blog will be all my thoughts and musings and decisions about how less is SO MUCH more.

Enjoy if you want and I wish you all the best even if you don’t keep up. No worries.
